As a response to the surge in Corona cases and its rapid transmission, the Government of Delhi has imposed a weekend curfew. In case of an emergency, however, one can obtain a curfew pass to for easy mobilization during curfew hours. Here’s how:
How to apply for Curfew Pass online
- Visit the Delhi Police website at www.delhipolice.nic.in
- Click on the ‘movement pass‘ tab
- Create an account to log in.
- Login using your username and password.
- Fill in the application form.
- Now, upload your photograph and ID proof (Aadhar card, driving licence, PAN Card, passport, voter ID card, etc).
- Submit your application.
- You will receive an SMS confirmation as soon as your movement pass is approved.
- Login to your account and download the Movement Pass. Keep it saved in your smartphone or take a printout to show it wherever required.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has made it mandatory for people to obtain e-passes for travel during the weekend curfew hours i.e. from Friday 10 pm till Monday 6 am. During the curfew, only essential services will be allowed to operate.
Note:
- Multiple applications can be made from a single ‘login’.
- Two SMS will be sent to the applicant, first, on receipt of the application and second, at the time of approval of the Movement Pass.
- Before filling up the application, keep a scanned copy of (1) photograph (2) ID proof ready.
