As Delhi is headed towards a full curfew starting tonight till next Monday morning, huge crowds are queueing up outside liquor shops to stock-up for the upcoming lockdown.

“Injections will not help but alcohol will. All those who drink will be safe. Medicines won’t help us but pegs will,” a woman was heard saying in a video tweeted by ANI outside a liquor shop in Geeta Colony.

Following a weekend curfew, the Chief Minister met with the LG this morning and Delhi is now headed towards a complete week-long lockdown. Although essential items will still be available, liquor shops will be closed. The people of Delhi are now crowding outside liquor shops to stock up alcohol for the upcoming week.
