1. Lodhi Art District

If you are an admirer of art and have some time in your hand then you can visit India’s first-ever open art district! The Lodhi Art District was a part of a project that started back in 2015 where 50 street artists from India as well as around the world, were invited to turn every single wall here into a masterpiece. There are about 54 different colourful wall arts on themes like environmental issues, social issues, culture etc.

2. Khan market

Visit the market for some high-end fashion boutiques like Ogaan, Anupama Stores etc. and beautiful cafes like Big Chill Cafe, Blue Tokai Coffee etc. This two-storey market complex also offers jewellery stores like Amrapali, fabric stores and some amazing light shops.
It’s most famous landmarks are Khan Chacha which is known for seekh kebabs and tikkas and Bahrisons Booksellers which is one of the oldest bookstores of Delhi.
3. Sunder Nursery
Timings: 7am-6pm

Distance from JLN metro: 1.4kms
Spread over 90 acres, it is home to 280 native tree species, 80 types of birds and 36 types of butterflies, along with 15 monuments of medieval times. Visit the park in evenings to unwind amidst flower beds of sunflowers and marigold, lotus-shaped fountains and heritage monuments that look appealing, especially in spring. This is the best place in the city to get stunning pictures of flora and fauna; you might just run into a peacock on your evening stroll. The cafe by the lake – called Fab cafe – is one of the best dining spots in the city, go find out for yourself!
The magnificent Humayun’s Tomb complex also lies just opposite the nursery. Now that you’re making a visit, might as well take out some time and marvel at its glory.
4. Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin
Distance from JLN metro: 1.5kms
The mausoleum of Sufi Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya also lies in the vicinity of JLN Metro Station. The shrine attracts devotees from far and wide who come here to pay their respects to the Sufi Saint as well as to revel in the soulful qawwali performed here every now and then.
64-pillared Chausath Khamba, Urs Mahal, and the Tomb of Ghalib are also situated nearby. The non-veg food in the lanes of Nizamuddin is undoubtedly some of the best in Delhi.
5. India Habitat Centre

Distance from JLN metro: 1.6 kms
One of India’s most comprehensive convention centres, IHC has an amphitheatre, visual art gallery, library and research centre and what not! Visit for some mind-blowing art and sculpture exhibitions, catch a play in the auditorium and treat yourself at its restaurants.

Spreading over a wide range of cuisines, the area has many restaurants and cafes that have made a name for their delicious food. Karim’s food plaza, Jamun, Dietlicious and the chicken and mutton kebabs of Nizamuddin are some of the best places to try and fulfil your hunger cravings.
