Unlock Delhi: Guidelines and all you NEED TO KNOW

Date

Amid a dip in Covid-19 cases in the city, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that the city will gradually phase out of the lockdown with relaxations on curfew restrictions.

“As the situation with Covid-19 is getting better, it is important to bring the economy back on track”, CM said. Markets and malls will be opened on an odd-even basis between 10 am-8 pm.

Government offices will operate with 100% capacity in Group A workers and 50% capacity in Group B workers, as will be decided by the Heads of Department. Essential service providers will work in full capacity. Similarly, shops selling essential commodities such as medicines will open every day, as will standalone shops.

All private offices have been allowed to reopen and function with a 50% capacity. It is advisable to scatter work hours.

Delhi Metro will be functioning at a 50% capacity. Deliveries through e-commerce will be functioning fully.

“Delhi has reported approximately 400 new cases of Covid-19 and the positivity rate is 0.5%. If the condition remains stable after these relaxations, more will be allowed in the coming weeks.”

“We are preparing for third wave of Covid-19 keeping in mind that 37,000 cases may be reported at its peak. We’re creating 420 tonne oxygen storage capacity to tackle another possible shortage, setting up 64 oxygen plants’, the Chief Minister said.
