Art You Can Live With: The LookBook Co.’s Latest Luxury Collection
An Art-First, One-of-One Philosophy
Rooted in an art-first philosophy, The LookBook Co. approaches each creation as a sculptural object conceived through form, proportion, material, and intent, before function follows. Central to this philosophy is the studio’s rare commitment to making single, one-of-one pieces.
The LookBook Co. does not replicate designs or work in editions. Each piece is designed and produced as an individual work, carrying its own narrative and presence.
Founder Aparna Patodia explains that the intention was never to build a conventional furniture brand, but to create objects that hold space the way art does — slow, considered pieces that are impossible to repeat without losing their meaning. Some pieces take up to two months to complete.
Manufacturing Autonomy and Craft-Led Design
This approach is supported by the studio’s 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Ghitorni, New Delhi, where design, material experimentation, prototyping, and craftsmanship operate under one roof.
The facility allows complete creative autonomy, enabling complex forms, unconventional material pairings, and highly detailed finishes that prioritise time over scale.
A Curated Exhibition of 55 Artistic Works
To mark the milestone, The LookBook Co. presented a curated display of 55 artistic furniture and art pieces reflecting the studio’s evolving language over the past year.
Presented in collaboration with Ochre Art, Nehaa Wadhwaa, and Samridhi Agarwal, the display was conceived as a gallery-like experience rather than a traditional showroom arrangement. The exhibition included sculptural seating, tables, spatial objects, and standalone art pieces exploring balance, weight, texture, and restraint.
Many works blurred the boundaries between furniture and sculpture, function and abstraction, inviting viewers to engage visually before imagining them within a living environment.
A Deliberate Future of Slow Design
Over the past year, the studio has worked closely with architects, interior designers, and private clients seeking pieces that move beyond décor to anchor spaces with artistic intent.
As it steps into its second year, The LookBook Co. remains deliberately small in output and uncompromising in philosophy, focusing on slow design, singular commissions, and furniture that resists trend-driven cycles.
Crafted with precision using natural materials and artisanal techniques, these works are designed not to fill space, but to command it — inviting contemplation, interaction, and emotional resonance.
