Garima Grih, a multi-purpose Public Health Infrastructure, was established by PVR NEST in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in Jawahar Camp, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi building on the success of the Pink Centres initiative. The core idea was to expand the concept of Safe Centres to benefit women and marginalized communities, offering them opportunities for growth and development.

On the occasion of the World Breastfeeding Awareness week, Dr. Rajib Dasgupta, Chairperson of the Centre for Social Medicine and Community Health at Jawaharlal Nehru University, was invited by PVR NEST to engage with the community’s women at Garima Grih. Through an insightful Q&A session, Dr. Rajib provided valuable guidance to pregnant women, mothers, and caregivers, helping them gain a better understanding of the necessary changes in attitude and behavior to prioritize health and mitigate potential risks.
