We all need to give a big round of applause for Petrol which has finally hit its debut century! After so much struggle, it is now playing (with our feelings) in the nervous 90s per litre in all major cities and struck a century in a few. Diesel, too, is a very competitive partner and is not far behind Petrol in this partnership (ahead in some cities though).
After working overtime for eleven days straight, oil marketing companies have finally hiked the fuel prices. And, OBVIOUSLY there’s no need to mention the plight of the common man (or is it)! According to some reports, people living in areas close to India-Nepal border have already started smuggling petrol from Nepal!!
People owning private vehicles will be the first ones to be impacted. While some are busy managing their monthly fuel budgets, others are ready to take a walk to buy their groceries. This price hike is here to make us fit!
The automotive sector, which is a large source of employment in India, may see a sharp drop in the sale of vehicles. Lower demands will automatically lead to loss of jobs in ancillary and auto sectors. SAALA YEH BEROZGAARI KAAHE NAHI KHATAM HOTA HAI BE!!
YOU ARE WRONG to think that you won’t be affected because you don’t own a vehicle. Don’t fall in this trap, as availing public transport will also get costlier!
Transporter and freighter companies are also seeking a 10-15% rise in their costs to meet their operational expenses.
This fuel hike will affect the costs and consumption of other products too, as most of them are transported from different corners of the country. This means that PEN KI NOK SE LEKAR PANT KI ZIP TAK, SAB MEHENGA HONE VAALA HAI!!
