Things to do with your Children on their Special Day! Happy Children’s Day
The 14th of November, Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday is celebrated as Children's Day in India. This is done as a tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru, who was affectionately called Chachaji and Chacha Nehru. The first president of India has a deep love for children, for he knew that children are the future. He set up a reserve fund for such a purpose and even his old house, Teen Murti Bhavan has been converted into a complex that houses a library and planetarium amongst other things. He was also instrumental in the founding of the Indian Institute of Technology and All India Institutes of Medical Sciences.
