Phase-3 vaccine registrations to begin from April 28th, 2021

Covid Cases are witnessing a drastic increase with every passing day. In view of the current situation, after the successful Phases 1 and 2 of the vaccination drive, the Indian Government has now rolled out the 3rd Phase.

In Phase 3, people in the age group of 18-45 years would be eligible for covid vaccination from 1st May, 2021. For this, they have to compulsorily register themselves online either on the CoWin website or the Aarogya Setu app. The registrations will open from April 28th, 2021. Walk-in facility will not be available initially in the view of vaccine resource management and the large number of people in this age bracket.

To register yourself, follow these 6 easy steps:-

  1. Visit the CoWin website and click on “Register or Sign In Yourself”
  2. Enter your mobile number and click on “Get OTP”. Enter the OTP and “verify”.
  3. Enter all your details on the ‘Register for vaccination’ page and hit “Register”
  4. Click on “Schedule”, which is right next to the name of the person registered.
  5. Add your pincode. Then, “Search” and select your centre.
  6. Select date and time and click on “confirm.”

The Centre has ordered the manufacturers of vaccines to supply 50% of their doses, released monthly by the Central Drugs Laboratory, to the Centre. The other 50% could be supplied to state governments and the markets.

It is important to note that the frontline workers, healthcare personnel and people above 45 years, will continue to be vaccinated as they were.
