An Artistic Dialogue with Nature
New Delhi, 25 September 2025 – Celebrated artist Prenita Dutt returns with her 18th solo exhibition, “Mishran: A Medley of Mediums,” at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre. Running from 1–5 October 2025, the exhibition offers a deeply evocative exploration of nature’s forms through paintings, ceramics, and sculptures in fiberglass, bronze, and stone.
“Mishran,” meaning blend, reflects Dutt’s philosophy of harmonising mediums to reveal memory, fragility, resilience, and the passage from ephemeral to enduring.
The Exhibition

Paintings: Dreamlike watercolours that dissolve into each other like drifting clouds, alongside bold, textured canvases carrying the weight of memory and belonging.

Ceramics & Terracotta: Hand-built and wheel-thrown pieces inspired by seeds, parrots, pomegranates, and semal flowers — celebrating the joy of touch and the patience of earth.

Sculptures in Fiberglass, Bronze & Stone: Organic forms chiselled into permanence, transforming stone and metal into meditative works that embody the hidden rhythms of nature.
Speaking about her work, Prenita Dutt says:
“Nature is my constant. Whether on paper, canvas, clay, or stone, its shapes, textures, and rhythms guide my work. Each medium is a doorway to the same truth—that creation is a conversation between self and universe.”
Through these varied mediums, Dutt creates a fluid narrative between fleeting impressions and lasting imprints, inviting viewers into a contemplative journey of healing, memory, and universal natural patterns.
About the Artist
Prenita Dutt is a self-taught artist based in New Delhi, whose practice spans watercolour, oil, ceramic, terracotta, bronze, and stone. Since her debut solo exhibition at India Habitat Centre in 2005, she has showcased her work widely across India, participating in residencies, workshops, and group shows.
