1. Nili Chhatri Temple

Where: Nigambodh Ghat
Timings: 5 am to 12 noon/ 4 pm to 11 pm

The blue coloured dome of the temple gives it the appearance of a blue umbrella. It is said that when the Pandava King Yudhishthira wanted to perform the Ashwamedha Yajna, he established the Shivalingam here on the banks of river Yamuna and performed the Ashwamedha Yajna.

2. Gauri Shankar Temple

Where: Chandni Chowk
Timings: 4:30 am to 10 am/ 5 pm to 9 pm

One of the oldest temples of Delhi, Gauri Shankar Temple at Chandni Chowk of Old Delhi.

The temple was built around 800 years ago by a Maratha soldier Apa Gangadhar, who got severely injured in a battle, and vowed to build a temple of Gauri-Shankar if he survives. As fate would have it, he healed and this temple came into being.

3. Mangal Mahadev Temple

Where: Rangpuri
Timings: 6 am to 10 pm

The temple is famous for huge statues of deities. The statue of Lord Shiva is a wonderful 108 feet in height. The temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens on both sides.

4. Chhatarpur Temple

Where: Chhatarpur
Timings: 5 am to 10 pm

The temple was established back in 1974, and was the biggest temple in India before the construction of Akshardham Temple in 2005. It is made entirely of marble and spreads over 70 acres.

5. Dudheshwar Mahadev Mandir

Where: Madhopura, Ghaziabad
Timings: 4 am to 12 noon/ 5 pm to 9 pm
