Most of us have a preconceived notion that a library is a boring place and only book lovers can enjoy it here etc. Well, all these thoughts and notions are challenged by the Japan Foundation Library. It offers so much to its visitors that anyone can fall in love with it. There is a whole section of Manga comics only, and many other popular comic books are available. The most exciting thing is the availability of different character’s costumes. Visitors can wear this to enjoy themselves and take wonderful selfies for their social media accounts.

How to get a membership 

The process of becoming a member is very easy and simple. One can obtain membership online through the website of the library. There is a form that you are supposed to fill and then they will share the account details of the library to submit the fee. Then you will get your library card. Taking membership is totally worth it and you will not regret your decision at all. 

Membership fee

One needs to pay only Rs. 300 for one year. Members can borrow 2 books, 2 back volumes of journals/magazines, 2 CDs and 2 Manga for 14 days.

Location and working hours

The library is situated on the first floor of Japan Foundation New Delhi. The address is 5-A, Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar-IV, New Delhi. The library remains open from Tuesday to Saturday every week. One can visit it anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It remains closed on Sundays, Mondays and holidays in India.
