Yesterday, the 7th of March witnessed the inauguration of the biggest, most technologically advanced Kidney Dialysis Hospital of India. The catch, however, is that it is a hospital WITHOUT A BILLING COUNTER.
Yes, you heard that right! Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee has opened Guru Harkishan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Kidney Dialysis Hospital – the first hospital with no billing counter, but only a registration counter for the sick.
The technology is modern and advanced with the capacity of performing over 500 FREE kidney Dialyses everyday. The hospital forms a part of the Bangla Saheb Gurudwara Complex and will also offer free food to the patients and their families, in addition to free services.
“All services are being provided totally free in this most technically advanced hospital. There is no billing or payment counter. The DSGMC will take services from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from corporate houses and from those who are willing to contribute for such initiatives and various government schemes,” DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said.
“The machines and all the equipment installed here are sourced from Germany. All the machines are modern as well as equipped with the latest technology,” he also said.
