Qutub Minar or the Tower of Victory symbolises the foundation of the new Dynasty, Culture and the Kingships that changed the course of North India. One of the tallest brick towers in the world, the monument shares with you nuances of master craftsmanship at every twist and turn.
Once part of Lal Kot, today the Qutb Complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses some of the major structures constructed by the first Sultans of Delhi, following the victory of Mahmud of Ghazni over Prithviraj Chauhan.
Itinerary
- Meet 8 AM at the entrance of the Qutub Minar Complex. Please buy your tickets on arrival. KINDLY NOTE, TICKET TO THE MONUMENT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WALK FEES. In case of late arrival and direction guidance, please contact +91 8287832004 (Tanya).
- Qutub Minar: The 12th-century victory tower built by Qutubuddin Aibak
- Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque: The earliest surviving mosque in Delhi, built by the rulers of the Slave Dynasty
- Alai Darwaza: Built in red sandstone and marble to serve as the gateway to the ambitious extension of Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque by Khilji
- Alauddin Khalji’s Tomb: Tomb of the second Sultan of the Turko-Afghan Khalji Dynasty
- Madrasa
- Iltutmish’s Tomb: Tomb of Shams-al Din Iltutmish, the third ruler of the Slave Dynasty
- Alai Minar: The incomplete ambitious project commissioned by Alauddin Khilji of building a tower twice the size of Qutub Minar

- Kindly inform beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) at the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 12 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 12-15 years of age.
