Nicknamed as ‘Mecca of lovers’ or ‘Joggers Paradise’, this 90-acre garden is beautifully landscaped with well-laid pathways and plants all along which was once a royal burial ground of Sayyid and Lodi royalty. Lodi Garden is a haven of natural heritage including a hundred species of trees such as Bottle palms, Palash, Mango tree, Jamun tree etc., many birds including parakeets, mynah, woodpeckers, barbet, hoopoe, kingfisher etc., flowers and butterflies.

Itinerary:

This 2-hour walking tour of the Lodi Garden led by Moby Sara Zachariah will consist of a timelined narration of the golden days of the Sultanate era. 

1. Meet at 4 p.m. in front of Gate no. 1 (Asoka Gate), Lodi Garden, Opposite Mausam Bhavan. We will leave this area at 4 pm sharp. In case of late arrival and direction guidance, please contact +91 9958099050 (Tanya Sujan).

2. Muhammad Shah’s Tomb was built in 1444 by Ala-ud-din Alam Shah.

3. Sheesh Gumbad with beautiful glazed blue tiles

4. Bara Gumbad with a massive dome and a mosque on one side and a rest house on the other

5. Sikandar Lodi’s tomb

6. Athpula bridge built during Mughal era

7. Please note that tours are subject to weather conditions. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled.

8. Kindly inform beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) at the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 12 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 12-15 years of age.

9. The tour route is in public areas over which we have no control. We are not responsible and shall not be held liable for the behaviour of the public, other tour patrons, or any accidents during the tour.

  • If you cancel at least 2 days prior to the day of the walk/event, there is no cancellation fee. -If you cancel between 24 hours prior to the walk, there is a 50% cancellation fee.
  • If you’re cancelling due to medical reasons or any unforeseen circumstances then 100% payment will be refunded or can be adjusted in the next walk/event.
  • Kindly inform beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) at the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 12 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 12-15 years of age.
