Located on the, Ground Floor at The Gallery on MG, Sultanpur, MG Road, New Delhi, BOMBA is all about celebrating the love for Pizzas & Taco – serving an array of soft-shell tacos in their Taqueria which is one side of the restaurant. The Pizzeria brings you classic brick-fired Neapolitan pizzas as well as a cracker-thin crust, along with a small handmade pasta menu.
Mrs. Alisha Mehra a Le Cordon Bleu London, aluminous and BOMBA co-founder states “At BOMBA, it’s not just about the food; it’s about the overall experience. We wanted to create a relaxed environment where you can spend time with the people you love over comforting food”.
Some of the signature dishes include ‘The Hottie” a pizza, which is packed to the brim, with pepperoni, chorizo, hot honey, and red jalapenos, the pork carnitas tacos with pineapple salsa and salsa macha, The vodka battered fish tacos with avocado puree and agua chile. The take on Mexican street corn with the charred corn taco, topped with sesame seeds and cotija cheese. The Pici Cacio E Pepe pasta is rustic and not to be missed if you love the Italian classic.
BOMBA’s interior design reflects its lively and colourful personality, with bright murals that take over most all the walls depicting animals in the wild as well as the brand’s mascot the hippo. The design aesthetic is tonal with clean tile detail and rattan and wood furniture. The restaurant has a spacious dining area which is broken up into two with an imaginary line, one side the pizzeria and the other the taqueria.
The live kitchen in the taqueria gives you a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. The central focal point of the restaurant is its brick-fired pizza oven, here you can see the chefs at work, skilfully stretching the dough and putting their finishing touches to the pizzas.
Opposite we have the beautifully tiled bar, though the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol yet, they have an exciting menu with house-made boozeless refreshers as well as great coffee which comes served with a delightful little donut.
BOMBA takes pride in its inventive and experimental approach to its menus, offering dishes that are both innovative and true to their cultural origins. The restaurant’s team of passionate chefs continually pushes boundaries to create ‘Bombastic’ dishes, some which will only last a season and some that will stay.
