The Hippie Trail
For those of you looking for a quite escape from the hustle bustle of the city, there is a new place launched at Hauz Khas village. Launched on the 1st of November, this new and exciting café called The Hippie Trail is all about connecting with oneself and spending time just being, which is so difficult to do in such a big city. The history behind the name The Hippie trail is an overland journey taken by members of the hippie subculture and others from the mid 1960’s to late 1070’s between Europe and South Asia, mainly India and Nepal.
In every major stop of the hippie trail, there were hotels, restaurants and cafes that catered almost exclusively to Westerners, who networked with each other as they travelled east and west. The hippies tended to spend more time interacting with the local population than traditional sightseeing tourists. The Hippie Trail shop 13 A in HauzKhas village has opened to share the love of travelling, the love of a peaceful yet adventurous life.
They understand the need to wander yet make a new place a home every single time and for the want of having such travellers in one place interacting with each other, sharing experiences, relishing food and just live life to the fullest. Away from the hustle bustle of the city, with the view of the HauzKhasLake, a most needed quiet escape. In addition to the sinfully delightful food another interesting factor about The Hippie Trail is that there is no alcohol served which truly synchronizes with the concept of a peaceful detoxifying experience.
