Modak, also well known as Kozhakattai in Tamil, Modhaka or Kadubu in Kannada and Kudumu in Telugu is one of the most popular deserts in Maharashtra, especially made and consumed during Ganesh Chaturthi. According to Hindu mythology, Ganpati Bappa was attracted to eating sweets and modaks were one of his beloved dishes.
2. Satori

Satori is a Maharashtrian delicacy that is usually made during festivals, especially during Ganesh Chaturthi. It is a flatbread made from khoya, ghee, mawa, besan, milk and more. It has an individual appearance, savour and affluence.
3. Shrikhand

The origin of Shrikhand is unknown but Western India is credited with the first historical mention of the desert. Although there is no command record of how the dish was invented, the legend states that travelling herdsmen hung curd or yoghurt overnight to make it handy to carry while travelling. This Indian sweet dessert is made of strained yoghurt and is popular across Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is coated with thick nuts and raisins. 4. Coconut Rice

Coconut Rice is one of the most requested savoury treats offered to Lord Ganesh on Vinayaka Chaturthi in south India. This dish is put together by soaking white rice in coconut milk or cooking it with coconut flakes. The flavoursome treat makes for one of the most loved bhog items to Lord Ganesha.
5. Puranpoli

This dish originated in Andhra Pradesh. It is traditionally called obbattu and is served at major festivals and other occasions. It is one of the sweets of Coastal Andhra. It is named poli in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh and obbattu in northeast Andhra Pradesh. Several Marathi households offer bhog of Puran Poli to Lord Ganesha to look for his blessings. Puran Poli lists in top dearest bhog offered to Lord Ganesha on Ganesha Chaturthi. Puran Poli is made of maida filled with sweet lentils and jaggery in a flat texture.
