Vikas Bahl – An Indian Film Producer, Screenwriter, And Director
Born in 1974, at New Delhi,Vikas Bahl is leading screenwriter, producer and director who has contributed significantly in the growth of Hindi Cinema. He was the head of UTV spot boy earlier and later started producing films under the banner phantom films. Vikas Bahl became a known name in the world after directing the Queen movie in 2014. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Director. He is the recipient of three National Awards. His spent his childhood days in Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi. He was an introvert in the earlier days and was often called as fattu by his friends. After completing his graduation from Ramjas College in New Delhi, he moved to Mumbai for higher studies. He worked with several ad-agencies as client servicing manager. He co-directed the movie called chillar party which won him the National Award for best screenplay. He went to direct Queen which was a blockbuster hit. He also directed Shaandar, which wasn’t appreciated by the audience. His short film, “Going home” which was on women’s safety went viral on social media and was appreciated as well. Vikas Bahl has been a co-producer for several hit movies. He is a true inspiration!
