Delhi resumes Vaccination for 18-45 age group

As a new stock arrived, the Government of Delhi has, on Wednesday resumed Covid-19 vaccination for citizens between the ages of 18-45. The vaccination was earlier put on hold for the mentioned age group due to a shortage of vaccines.

AAP MLA Atishi has announced a newly available Covaxin stock for 6 days, and Covishield stock for 11 days. The administration has reopened bookings on Co-WIN portal for all its inoculation centres.As on Wednesday, Delhi has 161 operational centres for the 18-45 category and 581 for those aged 45 and above.

“We have received 62,160 doses of Covaxin and 173,340 doses of Covishield. Till date, we have received a total of 1.27 million doses for young adults… Starting Wednesday, slots are available on the Co-WIN portal for the 18-45 age group as well,” she said.

Sufficient stock is available for the 45+ age group in Delhi. “Seven days of Covaxin and 42 days of Covishield vaccine doses are available for people above 45 years age category,” Atishi said.

So far 62,04,209 people have been vaccinated, out of which 14.88 lakh people have received both doses, according to Delhi’s health bulletin.
