CASA Pasta Bar: Delhi’s First Pasta and Jazz Bar Redefining Comfort Food

Idea to Brand Series – Celebrating Homegrown Delhi Brands

Delhi has always had a soft spot for pasta — creamy, comforting, and soul-satisfying. Yet, finding the real deal of fresh, handmade pasta has often felt like a treasure hunt. Enter CASA Pasta Bar, Delhi’s first-ever pasta and jazz bar, tucked away in the artistic lanes of Hauz Khas Market.

A creation of Chef Sambhavi Joshi, CASA brings together two things Delhi didn’t know it needed — artisanal pasta and live jazz. The result? A dining experience that’s warm, soulful, and deliciously original.

From Idea to Brand

For Chef Sambhavi Joshi, the love for food began at home. Watching her mother cook sparked a lifelong passion that led her to Le Cordon Bleu, London, at just 18. It was there she rolled her first batch of pasta — an open saffron lasagne with lobster — and discovered her calling.

Over the years, Sambhavi worked with celebrated restaurants including The Table (Mumbai), Elystan Street (London), and Le Cirque (New Delhi), learning from chefs who shared her obsession with fresh, handcrafted pasta. Her experiences across Mumbai, London, Paris, and Delhi became the building blocks of CASA.

The Beginning: Casarecce

Before CASA Pasta Bar came Casarecce, an artisanal pasta brand she founded to supply fresh pasta directly to restaurants and homes. In a country with suppliers for almost everything but pasta, Sambhavi built her own niche — producing over 80 varieties and serving more than 150 clients.

Casarecce, meaning “homemade”, laid the foundation for CASA — turning a small pasta-making passion into a full-fledged business.

Delhi Calling: The Birth of CASA Pasta Bar

The idea of CASA was born during a honeymoon conversation between Sambhavi and her husband, Nisshant Laroia, a lawyer. What began as a casual dream soon turned into Delhi’s most exciting new restaurant concept — a space dedicated solely to pasta, paired with the rhythm of live jazz.

Located on the first floor of G-9, Hauz Khas Market, CASA opened its doors to offer Delhiites something refreshingly simple yet deeply soulful.

The CASA Experience

Walking into CASA feels like stepping into someone’s living room — warm, relaxed, and inviting. Tealights flicker across tables, jazz hums softly in the background, and the open kitchen buzzes with quiet focus. The interiors are minimal yet rich in personality — a hero wall adorned with vintage pasta-making tools and monochrome portraits tells its own story.

Every element, down to the miniature glass jars of chilli flakes and oregano with tiny spoons, reflects thoughtfulness. “If you want chilli, go for it,” Sambhavi says. “We’re nobody to tell you how you should eat.”

The Menu: A Love Letter to Pasta

Unlike most multi-cuisine menus, CASA keeps its focus sharp — pasta is the hero. Guests can explore different shapes and sauces from a beautiful rattan box that accompanies the menu.

Signature favourites include:

  • Cassatini Rose — thick, chewy noodles tossed in a velvety nduja sausage sauce.

  • Gigli Truffle — layered with porcini mushrooms and fragrant winter truffles.

Every bowl strikes the right balance between authenticity and comfort — the perfect chew, the right sauce, the kind of dish that makes you pause and smile.

The People Behind the Passion

Chef Sambhavi Joshi and Nisshant Laroia have built CASA with warmth, curiosity, and love. What began as a shared dream now stands as a celebration of honest food — handmade, soulful, and full of Delhi’s creative energy.

Today & Beyond

CASA Pasta Bar is more than a restaurant — it’s a movement that celebrates craft, comfort, and connection. By focusing on the art of fresh pasta and pairing it with live jazz, CASA has given Delhi a dining experience that feels intimate, modern, and full of heart.

For Delhiites, pasta will never be the same again.
