Date

The Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is easily a top contender in the top 10 haunted places in Delhi located within the dense Southern Ridge of Delhi, is believed to be one of the 5 most haunted places in Delhi and also is important in the historical places in Delhi. This 14th-century monument built during the Tughlaq era by Feroze Shah Tughlaq was an inn or a hunting lodge for the royal parties. The forest surrounding it in the past was thick and now is not so dense. In a state of disrepair, the Bhuli Bhatiyari ka mahal is now nearly a ruin, protected under the archaeological survey of India, the ASI. What draws people to this monument is the belief that it is home to several hauntings, popular rumours suggest that strange noises are heard here, especially after dark and a few people report seeing ghostly forms. The name could have originated from Bhulli Bhatti only to become Bhuli Bhatiyari.

Access is easy and most guards hired to protect the monument quit in a day or two maximum, with no locked gates, many thrill-seekers head here and the only warning they have is a note written at the entrance, which warns them not to come here post-sunset, some still do. If you want to visit, you’ll find a small road near the huge Hanuman statue next to the Bagga Link, in Jhandewalan, ask and people will point you to this monument.
