Meet Charuvi Agarwal: Delhi's Wonder Woman | Artist, Sculptor, Animator and Filmmaker

In the vibrant world of visual arts, where creativity meets innovation, Charuvi Agrawal stands as a luminous figure. Hailing from India, Charuvi has etched her name on the global artistic canvas with an indomitable spirit and a visionary approach. Her journey began with a remarkable accolade in 2007, when she was celebrated at the ‘Incredible India@60’ Festival in New York by Coca-Cola as one of “the emerging 10 who would transform the global artistic landscape.” This recognition marked the start of a journey that would see Charuvi blossom into a multifaceted artist and pioneer.

A graduate with a gold medal in Fine Arts from Delhi College of Art, Charuvi further honed her skills in Computer Animation at Sheridan College, Canada. Her academic excellence set the stage for a flourishing career. Before founding Charuvi Design Labs (CDL) in 2009, she made significant contributions while working in Canada, engaging in a diverse array of projects for the National Film Board (NFB) and various other esteemed clients.

Charuvi’s work is a testament to her versatile talent, seamlessly blending traditional artistry with cutting-edge technology. Her creations have not only been featured in numerous prestigious publications but have also earned accolades at high-profile film screenings worldwide. Notable festivals such as the Siggraph Computer Animation Festival in Vancouver and Los Angeles, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen in Germany, Taiwan International Children’s TV & Film Festival, 3rd Beijing International Animation Festival, Santa Fe Film Festival, South Asian International Film Festival in New York, One World Film Festival in Ottawa, Toronto Urban Film Festival, Pictoplasma Conference in New York, and the Indian Art Summit in Delhi have all showcased her visionary works.

From a very early age, Charuvi’s paintings and miniature sculptures have garnered recognition and awards, reflecting her innate talent and dedication to her craft. Her initiative, CDL, has grown into a dynamic think tank, nurturing and inspiring emerging designers from all corners of India.
