An Urban Village, the Hauz Khas Complex is a fascinating place because of its urban setup and background surrounded by fashionable boutiques and restaurants with its history starting from the 14th Century. The complex contains a water tank, Madrasa or institution/seminary, several medieval tombs and graves, mosques and pavilions, etc. It is predominantly a Tughlaq period complex.
We will see the Hauz Khas from a history buff’s eye and will connect dots in the Indian History context, to see the evolving of an educational set-up to a fashion Hub. In this trail, stories of monuments and their history and the architectural background will be shared in a storytelling manner.
Itinerary:
This 2-hour walking tour of Hauz Khas led by Moby Sara Zachariah will look at this social hub from a history buff’s eye and will connect dots in the Indian History context.
Meet at 4 p.m. in front of Entrance to the Deer Park, on Hauz Khas Village Road. We will leave this area at 4 pm sharp. In case of late arrival and direction guidance, please contact +91 96435 33224 (Abu Sufiyan).
Monuments that will be covered in this trail are Hauz Khas or Hauz-e-Alai (a large water reservoir), a Mosque, and Assembly Hall of Tughlaq Period, Madrasa and Feroz Shah’s Tomb, Bagh-e-Alam ka Gumbad, Kali Gumti, etc.

7. Please note that tours are subject to weather conditions. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled.
8. Kindly inform beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) at the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 12 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 12-15 years of age.
9. The tour route is in public areas over which we have no control. We are not responsible and shall not be held liable for the behaviour of the public, other tour patrons, or any accidents during the tour.

-If you cancel at least 2 days prior to the day of the walk/event, there is no cancellation fee. -If you cancel between 24 hours prior to the walk, there is a 50% cancellation fee.
– If you’re cancelling due to medical reasons or any unforeseen circumstances then 100% payment will be refunded or can be adjusted in the next walk/event.
