Around since 1884, no wonder this jalebi wala is old and famous! Their piping hot, thick jalebis made from desi khandsari sugar are a delight to the senses. Now running by its fourth generation, this eatery at the end of Dariba Kalan Road is absolutely drool-worthy.

2. Natraj Dahi Bhalla Corner

Serving some of the best chaat in Delhi, this small shop with a surprisingly large crowd has been the heart of Old Delhi since before independence. Established in 1940, their Dahi-Bhalla dissolves in the mouth with a flood of flavours and leaves us in awe, every time.

3. Shiv Mishthan Bhandar

The crispy bedmi puris and juicy jalebis of this made quite a name for themselves in the last century. Established in 1910 as a small shop, this eatery in Chandni Chowk makes delicious sweets lovingly made with desi ghee, and has managed a consistently good flavour even with the passing of time.

4. Pandit Ved Prakash Lemon Wale

This little shop opposite town hall has been comforting Delhiwalas against sweltering heat for more than 150 years. Their Lemon Masala is still irreplaceable in the face of Coke and Pepsi, and is largely sought after in the months of May and June.

5. Lotan ke Chhole Kulchhe

For the fans of Delhiā€™s spicy chhole kulchhe, Lotan is as good as it gets. Located in Chhatta Shah ji, they have been serving taste since 1977. The giant crowd outside this small establishment is a testimony to their evergreen flavours.
