Delhi Tourism’s rocking flower show, popularly known as the Garden Tourism Festival, is now welcoming visitors in the Garden of Five Senses. The event, which is usually a three-day long affair, has been extended to a good three weeks, and we can’t keep our excitement about it! Given the time extension, the number of visitors per day can be limited and social distancing can be ensured well.
Spreading over the 22-acre venue, the festival, themed Colors of Nature, flaunts some 50,000 species of flowering plants, in addition to non-flowering plants, hanging baskets, art installations made of flowers and much more to take your breath away! The Festival will also host a Bazaar where gardening accessories, organic items, medicinal as well as decorative plants etc will be on sale for the visitors.
Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who also inaugurated the event said, “This is our time to enjoy the beauty of nature, spend time with our loved ones and take selfies. There is no better place to do all this than the Garden of Five Senses – one of the most beautiful parks of Delhi.”
Government of Delhi has also provided for a free shuttle service to take visitors from Saket Metro Station, which is the nearest, to the Garden of Five Senses located in Said-ul-ajaib village of Saket. The festival will also host competitions in various categories and special cultural programs in addition to a splendid food court where the visitors can take a break with some mouthwatering delicacies.
The timings on weekdays are 11 am to 6 pm, and on weekends are 11 am to 7:30 pm. Visit now for some mesmerising sights at Delhi’s best flower show and a calming time with your loved ones, soaking in vibrant colours and soothing fragrances.
